Planning what to wear

Monday

final1499522049796

A long sheer top from Monki, which my sister generously donated from out of her closet, my favorite 3/4 length Vila leggings (the wide waistband! the opaqueness!), a pink metallic choker from Primark, and Vagabond wedges. Pairing with NYX Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken. Red or pink eyeshadow? Not sure yet.

I love wearing pink with my bright red hair.

Tuesday

final1499522164195

Another pair of them leggings, I’ve got an army’s worth, wearing with an oversized V-neck tee from H&M in a petrol type color. Another color I think goes brilliant with my current hair color. I wear it back to front, because…why not? Or because low cut necklines isn’t my thing, unless it’s on the backside. Adding the biggest hoops, frilly choker and a pair of wedges I’ve had just about forever. May they last for years to come.

Black lipstick??

Wednesday

final1499522199416

Time for some shorts! My favorite type from H&M, again, I’ve got just about an army of them, all different colors (..although, I do have 2 of the black ones..), a floral top from Gina Tricot, which makes me hate Gina because it needs ironing, and shrank in the wash, but the pattern I am so in love with! A lace type choker, Mackintosh necklace and canvas platforms from ASOS. I’ll wear the shorts with some comfort waist, sheer leggings from H&M and the IsaDora Majestic Mauve lipstick.

Thursday

final1499522236846

Second pair of short, stripy 3/4 sleeve top, wee Primark cross shoulder bag and a dark red NYX Liquid Suede, pair of Vagabond sneakers. Any excuse for this bag. And yes, I always wear my shorts with sheer leggings, because my legs are pale, which would equal an outfit which just isn’t black enough. Can’t have that.

Friday

final1499522313885

Oh hell, let’s do more shorts while it’s still warm enough; pair with a striped vest from H&M, oversized plain black tee on top, paisley choker, yellow platforms and bag, because gawd I love the matching apparently.

Unless. Unless I rethink the yellow with the red hair. In which case this is an option:

final1499522286896.jpg

A favorite dress from Forever 21 in Berlin. It has to be the best Forever 21? It’s the only Forever 21 I’ve ever bought anything from. I’ll pair it with a long sheer cardigan, H&M leggings, and the usual choker + Mackintosh, eyeshadow curtsey of Sleek’s Vintage Romance.

And that’ll get me through the work week, leaving only the weekend and gym wear.

How many hoodies + sweatshirts does one person need?

ONE. The one you keep in your gym bag for after workout.

TWO. Band merch. Really depends how many bands you like. I just like the one. Think we’ve established that.

THREE. The one for that one time you were underweight and needed children’s sizes, and was really cheap to boot (i.e. bought on sale).

FOUR. The one for when you thought bright colors were great idea. Yeah, that one time.

FIVE. One that is long and under which you can fit another long sleeve. For when it’s cold out and you want to go out walking. You might want it it two sizes/colors. Because. You walk a lot?

SIX. That one you just love. Actually you need three of it. Different sizes/colors. And it was on sale.

SEVEN. Long one for Saturday mornings. In the winter.

EIGHT. That one you wear when visiting your parents. Because that’s where it’s at. It’s bright orange. Which might also be a reason it’s still there…

NINE. Camouflage print. From the men’s section. Just waiting to embarrass some guy because he’s wearing the same hoodie as an old lady. So basically, one for laughs.

TEN. A grey one from Monki. Because grey goes great with your red hair. Bonus points for long enough to cover upper thighs, but sleeves that are just the right length, and a pocket for your walkman phone.

ELEVEN. Short, wide, with lizards. Did I mention need?

TWELVE. Pink one. Because. Goes great with your red hair. Let’s not talk about the stupid text H&M thought it was a great idea to print on the sleeves.

THIRTEEN. Wolf. That you don’t wear much because it ruins all of the black vests you wear under it.

FOURTEEN. One from Primark that you just could not buy because of nostalgia.

FIFTEEN. Distressed one. Because it makes you feel like Oliver Sykes. Never mind that it’s from Top Shop and not Drop Dead.

SIXTEEN. Animal print.

SEVENTEEN. Best purple color ever.

EIGHTEEN. A warm one. For the coldest of winter.

NINETEEN. Long one with ears. Because you’re about 5 years old.

TWENTY. One with a cat on.

Let’s say that’s all of them. Let’s say I only wear hoodies + sweatshirts. Ever.

Yea.

Let’s.

November favorites

Music

It’s been out for a while, but I was suddenly struck by just how great Adna’s Overthinking is.

Fave song live was without a doubt Bring Me the Horizon’s Avalanche. I’ve always liked the song well enough, but live it just hit me.

Became slightly obsessed with a few Little Jinder tracks, as a result of watching Så mycket bättre, like the rest of Sweden. Here’s Super 8:

So looking forward to an entire week of her on this year’s edition of Musikhjälpen. Love her punk rock attitude, it’s going to be so much fun.

Books

For a while there, I was starting to despair. A) Didn’t read an awful lot, B) the ones did read were a bit meh. In addition to which they didn’t fit my challenge. I didn’t even like Ravencliffe.

Texts from Jane Eyre was definitely a fave tho (even if, technically, I did finish it 31 October, but whatever).

final1479910126360.jpg

Almost starting to think I need to read Atlas Shrugged, I mean, all evidence suggests it’s kinda funny?

But then I ended the month by reading Estrid by Johanne Hildrebrandt and it was not only good; it was everything I wanted it to be. Still impressed with Johanne’s way with words, how she balances our everyday way of expression with a few well selected words we associate with the old days. It reads so well. And she knows how to draw the reader in. Bonus points for most characters being petty, greedy, just awful people. As in the majority of all characters. Love that.

final1480422251108.jpg

Wearables

Big chunky knits were definitely a theme. Also been reaching for jeans (black! the horror that you would think I’d wear denim) way more than I have for ages. Actually don’t think I’ve worn an actual dress/skirt even once. Unless you count oversized knits as dresses.

A pair of Vagabond boots I got on sale (half price, such a find), I just want to live in them. Comfortable + goes with everything. I really want a back-up pair, that is how comfortable they are.

final1479328203613.jpg

In terms of makeup, I’ve been obsessed with no-brow, no-liner looks. Quick + easy! Bonus points for making you look creepy.

Social Media

Russell Brand’s Trews!

Also. Bumble on Instagram. I have no idea how I ended up there, but how I love it.

It’s feminism, being introvert, and just not being perfect and sharing it. Just ♥♥♥

Suddenly became completely obsessed with Sarah Hawkinson; been watching for a while, but I’ve started going back and watching v. v. old vids. Not so old vid:

Meanwhile. Where do you go for YouTube recommendations? What YouTube recommends me is just not good enough.

DanArchitects. I’m sure he’s a great drummer and all, but I’m far more impressed with his Twitter skills. I only wish all musicians I followed were this funny, sarcastic, informative. A fave tweet from this month:

(I don’t see why not, most of us seem to deserve it?)

Food

I just have one food related thing on my mind: Glasgow’s Stereo. Visited 3 times the week I was in Glasgow – it was that good. Special mention: their buffalo cauliflower + sun dried tomato, rosemary & chili polenta chips. A-mazing. Combine it with a glass of Sauvignon blanc and it’s just heaven.

And new fave drink Dark & Stormy: ginger beer + rum. Ah ginger. I could marry it.

Series/movies

Finally watched Before the Flood. If like me you’ve been putting it off, there’s really no need. It’s an easy watch despite the serious subject. It made me feel as if we’re in the middle of a the world is flat type discussion.

Bonus: TRez + Atticus Ross made a beautiful soundtrack to it.

Gilmore Girls. Happier about the fact that it was back than the actual content tho. Not that it was bad. Except for that musical thing which which I’m quite upset about. You’ve got 4 episodes and you spend 15 minutes on a terrible musical? WHYYY?

Historieätarna. Has been ZERO PERCENT disappointing. Let’s not think about the fact that this is the last season. It will be missed.

Miscellaneous

Last time I mention my trip to Glasgow, promise! Even rainy days in Glasgow are better than Sweden in November. This is from when we walked along Clyde.

final1479382177199.jpg

Blow out I got at Belle & Blackley in Glasgow. While I’m not convinced I should have layers or a Brenda (90210 obvs) type fringe, the blow out was the best I ever did have. I only wish I could be bothered to do it myself.

Architects at ABC; I may have loved Bring Me’s Avalanche a ridiculous amount, and the show was so great – hell I went back for seconds on the 25th in Stockholm – but nothing compares to Architects. Am I considering going to America for more next year? Kinda. A little bit. With any luck the whole tour will be sold out before I do something stupid.

Plans for December

  1. See Jonathan Johansson play
  2. See Amity Affliction + Northlane play
  3. Work all alone in the office because I’m all out of vacay.

I ❤ Glasgow

glasgow lighthouse

Because I can buy bits like

Nakd bars from Holland & Barrett’s for cheap + decent chai from random supermarket; you have no idea how I’ve been looking for a decent chai all over Sweden – impossible. This Tesco one tho; does the job perfectly. Nothing fancy, everyday chai ♥♥♥.

final1479296160293.jpg

…I’m going to have start ordering the Nakd bars from online. It’s so perfect for traveling, and let’s face it, this could replace other types sweets easy peasy.

Makeup + beauty from Superdrug and Boots.

I’m obsessed with Superdrug’s cleansing wipes for combination skin, which is a problem. I need to find good wipes I can get from somewhere in this country.

The Boots’ tea tree & witch hazel facial wash is a new find; they were all out of Superdrug’s facial wash for combination skin, again, but this facial wash! It’s better still. My skin tends to be a bit uneven, and I’ve come to accept it as a fact. But this facial wash, I swear it evens out my skin. And the Soap & Glory shower gel; ach, I just wish I hadn’t packed so much I could have gotten a normal-sized bottle. It brags you don’t need lotion afterwards and I truly believe it.

Also got a new GOSH primer because my current one (No7) is a bit meh; my foundation brush finally broke down so I’m trying out the Real Techniques sponge, so far loving it, and if the Beautyblender is better still than this one, I get why people are so obsessed with it; new No7 foundation, a radiance one this time because I heard such good things about it. With any luck it’ll manage to make me look just a little bit sicker still.

Cute things from Primark; PJs, pink knit, metallic chokers, MTV sweatshirt, and of course, big, chunky, pink knit + fuzzy socks.

That’s appropriate night time wear for a 35-year-old I dare say. Should also be noted: bought the pink knit in the biggest size I could find, i.e. about 4-5 sizes bigger than what I usually wear, this doesn’t mean it’s long enough to be worn as a dress, as I discovered on the bus to work…

Trashy hoodie + lots of earrings from Top Shop.

I am in love with this trashy trend, did the same trick as with the pink knit. Sis says it’s also too short to be worn as a dress. I’m disagreeing, wore it as dress to the BMTH gig, maybe I will again? As in, I’m seeing them again on Saturday. Stockholm this time.

Also love that dark metal color the majority of the studs are in. Top Shop seems to be under the impression it’s dark gold. Okeeyy.. in my mind they’re a bit too much on the red side to be described as gold, but w/e.

More Mackintosh souvenirs.

final1479296094814

Ah yes, museum gift shops in Glasgow, they just draw me in.

Backpack from Urban Outfitters.

final1479296031649

Because the carry on I brought was just so tiny, I literally had to get a new bag to get all my things home (this here, just a sample, there was more stuff). But also, I needed a bigger backpack in my life, so quite pleased with this purchase.

Note to self: go on shopping diet.

Final part of the October blog challenge! The previous part is here, where you’ll also find links to part 2, 3 and 4. Just in case this type of entry strikes your fancy.

ELEVEN. Weekend highlights

I did say I was going to get back to weekend highlights. These are highlights from the weekend I spent in Stockholm + Gothenburg;

› the burgers me and sis had at Vigårda & the fabulous (and for Sweden dirt cheap) elderflower + gin drink,
› my Monki purchases

final1477731816515
big chunky knit // card holder // keychain. also got lots of underwear, monki has the best underwear. but nobody needs to see that.

and,
the highlight of it all; seeing these guys play:

final1477685738472.jpg

It’s obviously Architects. They played in Stockholm on Saturday and Gothenburg on Monday. It was brilliant, as I’m sure you can imagine. I just wish they’d play a longer set is all.

Professional pic from the Gothenburg gig:

Gothenburg, thank you so much. That was insane! ❤️🤘🏻📷 : @edmasonphoto

I can see myself to the far to the right. Yess.

Much approve of the new guy. Not that he in any way replaces the old guy, nor needs anyone’s approval, but you know. He just seems a good fit for the band. I hope he’s a keeper.

Question: when and why did gigs turn into Singalong at -insert name of venue here-? Or is it something that is specific for this genre? I’m confused. And not entirely on board. I mean every song? All of the words? Can we…just listen to the band some at least? Please?

TWENTY NINE. Halloween inspiration

I want to say this, but that’s a bit too fangirly even for me. Nightmare before Christmas in general? Fave part:

OOoooo sound of rolling dice is like music in the air.

Er. Right.

Was almost inspired to do a Halloween-y makeup after seeing this:

Guess who bitch.

THIRTY. A day in life

Today’s Sunday. Doesn’t mean I sleep in. My body was not made for it. FIVE O’CLOCK YOU SAY!?!! WAKEY WAKEY!

My sleep cycle app says 81% efficiency, which does’t strike me as bad at all? Never mind that it’s five on a Sunday morning.

Outfit of the day: black knit jumper, brown Dorothy Perkins tights from aaages ago (fave type! and they stop making them, wtf!?), and double socks.

final1477811335121

First fail of the day: was going to make semolina porridge; turns out the unopened soy milk had gone sour. Which I noticed after I poured it into the pan with the semolina. That’s great. Expiration date says May 2017. Interesting.

Sooo…being the efficient person that I am, I start cooking the chickpeas I’d soaked over night while making avocado toast, topped with mustard and a sesame-wasabi spice mix + chocolate mint tea and a banana + strawberries.

final1477811395617

I am not complaining.

On the agenda today:

  • clean apartment
  • start packing for Scotland
  • finish reading The Memory of Lost Senses
  • wash hair!

Among other things.

I excel at household work; I start by changing the bed, meal prepping (split butternut squash in half, shove in the oven), put a load of wash in the machine and start cleaning the bedroom. Useful mindset; Might as well while I’m at it.

By 10 I’ve cleaned the bedroom, roasted some more veg for my meal prep + folded laundry & concluded I’ve printed no hotel or travel confirmations what so ever for my Scotland trip. Apparently I’m under the impression my concert tickets will get me where I need to go.

Tea, orange & YouTube break.

final1477830267614

I’m doing my monthly deep-clean so there’s still plenty cleaning to go. Might seem a shame because it’s a beautiful day.

final1477830329942

Lunchlunchlunch! Roasted broccoli + smoked paprika spiced tofu and butternut squash mixed with nutritional yeast and lots of rosemary. Oh. And pasta. Yumyum!final1477830389608

And more goddamn cleaning. Adding lots of In Flames and Amity Affliction to my playlist for extra energy. Spotify proceeds to play In Flames as if it’s the only thing in the playlist. Oh well. I suppose that’s fair.

Crashed on the sofa for 30 minutes watching Så mycket bättre; the Magnus Carlsson from Weeping Willows episode. Spent the remainder of the episode lifting weights. I don’t know why I keep multitasking when I hate it.

And now I’m going to have to deal with this.

final1477841754894.jpg

Which I will. While listening to 90s Bon Jovi. These Days always makes me want to play the piano.

Hours later. It’s going well. Can I blame getting sidetracked by starting to clean out my closet? Some of my purchases makes me wonder if I know who I am at all.

final1477850099888.jpg

Take note that there is currently not a single piece of clothing in that suitcase.

So that’s what I’m doing for the rest of the night.

THIRTY ONE. Halloween

I’m just not feeling at all this year. So I’m doing what any sensible person would do: getting lots and lots of candy. That’ll sort me out.

final1477743625289

This stuff is probably not vegan. Almost positive.

Happy Halloween you all!

The 11 stages of packing

ONE. Get bag.

final1476557912068.jpg

One from Primark will do; perfect carry-on size. It’s all I’ll be able to carry from home to the bus, and from the bus to work. In total a 30-minute walk; not to be  compromised.

TWO. Get lots of clothes out of the closet, place on large surface.

final1476615694583.jpg

This is also an excellent way to get some overview of what is in your closet. Conclusion TOO MANY CLOTHES.

THREE. Procrastinate. Go out for a walk, have some tea, watch a lot of YouTube, get lost in old Lady Gaga and get good ideas. Wide fitting trousers you say? And don’t even get me started on that eye make, I am in love.

FOUR. Screening. I.e., start to consider what are actual options, i.e. not too cold, not too uncomfortable, just not what you’d want to wear. Those clothes are not going to move themselves; if you’re planning on sleeping in that bed tonight you better get to it.

FIVE. Finally weed out two options for trip 1. It’s just over night; two outfits + one eyeshadow palette is enough.

final1476700593346.jpg

Having since worn the Paisley dress; it has got to go.

SIX. Curse the gods for having to pack two different bags in one week.

SEVEN. Get a grip on yourself and compile possible options, get a second opinion. I.e. email sister and ask her opinion for trip 2. Options:

I.e. knits and shorts, wide-legged trousers and 3/4 sleeve tops, black jeans and various tops.

EIGHT. Decide the small bag was never going to work anyway, and just pack it all.

NINE. Do some ill adviced trying on of the outfits. Shorts with the brightest, loudest pair of tights you own = hours of hating body.

TEN. Sleep on it. Put on a pair of jeans you never intended to bring anyway and decide they’re the ones! All the pieces fit after that.

It’s possible I packed a couple of shorts + a few extra black jumpers just in case I’d feel like this is too much color. Which, if we’re being honest, is kinda likely.

ELEVEN. Pack makeup and such. With any luck reviewing your makeup won’t make you change your mind.

Swear to god, the older I get the more of a stuggle packing becomes.

Currents; And I want

hm shorts

H&M shorts in petrol. I’ve got three pairs of these already, and we get along like a house on fire. I’ve told myself no colored ones! I tend to not get a lot of wear out of any garment in a color in general, bottoms in particular, but these just haunt my mind. PS, they look nicer IRL.

estrid johanne hildebrandt

Estrid by Johanne Hildebrandt. This is the latest book in my all-time favorite book series. It’s a retelling of old Norse myths and legends, basically. And Hildebrandt tells a story so incredibly well. If I remember correctly it’s due for publication in October.

lime crime venus

Lime Crime Venus the grunge palette. I know, I’m late to the party. Or actually, I’m still considering not turning up at all; I’ve decided high-end is not for me. For many reasons. But in my search for a decent matte palette, I just keep coming back to this one. It’s everything I want. I would order it, but I’d rather not order from the US, so I’m putting it off.

The reissues of two of Nina Hemmingsson’s comic books. Soon I hope!?!! I need them!

velvetines-salem

Lime Crime Velvetines in Salem. Again, high-end; not for me. But, again, this looks like everything I want and need. I know we’re supposed to go for the metallics now, but I’m not quite over the mattes yet. …although an argument could be made for the metallic shade Lana. A copper shade. Looks amazing.

asos-ruffle choker

Ruffle choker from ASOS. One or more of the channels I follow on YouTube hauled ruffle chokers from ASOS, and I just love the look. But I can’t possibly justify another choker, can I?

asos split back

Snazzy new top with some sort of opening in the back. Because I need it. Don’t quite think tie dye is for me though. I’ll keep looking.

2015961919018601089852_sbig

All of the new Batiste styling products. Because I was just made aware that they have styling products. And I love their dry shampoo so. Anyone tried any of their styling products?

Nedwood tea. For it is the season.

51-1972

Yellow raincoat. Obsessed with the idea of a yellow raincoat. And I do need a raincoat. I mean I’m going to Glasgow in November. November! What was I thinking?

nyx-alien

NYX Liquid Suede in Alien. Yes. Still on my wishlist as no store had it in stock back in August. And because black lipstick and orange eye; match made in heaven for sure.

What’s on your wish list?

Fall prep; 13 outfit ideas

So here’s a fun way to spend your weekend; go through your wardrobe, take stock, clear out, and compile fall outfits. Next! Combine your pieces into outfits, take pics and use for future inspo, tailored to you specifically; clever no?

I for one feel insanely clever and I think this may just be what I needed; an overview and evidence that maybe I don’t have to add any more pieces for this fall (except for a black/white Holzfällerhemd I’ve already ordered, and which I will argue that I need).

This fall I’ll be wearing (variations of) the following:

As per usual, simple and comfortable is key, and I plan to pair up most outfits with my red lipsticks.

I’m sticking with my usual palette; the black, grey, purple, petrol, bit of pink and yellow thrown in for good measure.

Clearly, I’ve yet to abandon my H&M shorts; I figured pairing them with 100 den H&M control top tights would give me some more wear out of them before winter kicks in.

I’ve been loving tops with a bit of movement for a while now, and I’m sticking with it. Can’t believe that it took me THIS LONG to realize I could be getting tops in a couple of sizes larger; I just love the swoosh of fabric.

And boots, boots, boots, how I’ve missed wearing boots on a daily basis!

For colder days I’ll be layering with long cardigans and an asymmetrical poncho (currently living in my office).

I feel all set for fall. Bring it on.

Week summary

It’s fall! Have you noticed how it’s fall?? It is here anyway. So many reasons to love fall. Morning walks in the mist is one.

Before you know it, it’ll be October. Can’t wait!

I got more boots. And with that, I’m all set for shoes for this fall/winter.

final1473589854823.jpg

Black bootcuts from H&M. Yes. You know my why do people even bother with pants when there’s dresses!?!!?? claim? I take it back, take it back! I still love my dresses, that goes without saying, but I do see a use for bootcuts as well. At least now. Because these are bootcuts every bit as good as last time they were popular. And I don’t usually like H&M pants. So that’s a pleasant surprise. Also: they go really well with my Roobin’s.

Decided the gym going, it has to stop. I didn’t want it to, because I identify with this gym. Apparently. I’ve been going since 2003; it was one of the main things I missed about Sweden when living in Scotland. But it’s just not what it used to be. I didn’t use to leave raging (crap music! people! barely sweating! grumble grumble and I had to stress here too!), so you know, considering my own sanity, I’ve decided enough’s enough.

Telling myself it’ll be OK, and dragged these guys out:

final1473521022769.jpg

Fave makeup of the week: pairing up my orange eye with a red, red lip.

(Clearly I’m v. v. busy at work.)

Basically fell into a black hole of Thrice live. You start watching one video on YouTube and that just leads to the next, and the next, and the next, and there’s just so many good one out there and I just don’t know how to stop.

I should probably get that turn off the internet app.

Love Thrice’s acoustic sessions, like this one:

Yess. It’ll be a while yet before I stop crushing on Dustin Kensrue’s voice.

Realized I’m not the Nick Cave fangirl I used to be. It used to be a main priority. But a) the Nick Cave movie One More Time with Feeling was actually playing in the city where I work and I didn’t even know. b) Decided against going for no good reason really. I mean the fact that it played during working hours (14.30) isn’t really an excuse; there are plenty bands I’d skip work for. Apparently Nick is no longer one of them.

But I take comfort in the fact that I’m still able to change and haven’t stagnated. I live in dread of just having the same fave band forever. I mean imagine loving Sisters of Mercy for the rest of your life? Seems a horrible fate indeed.

That being said. I still spent the weekend watching 20,000 Days on Earth, and listening to the new record Skeleton Tree. A nice change from what I usually listen to/watch.

If you hurry, you may still manage to catch it on YouTube before anyone realizes it’s there and takes it down. It’s bound to happen.

Muralgranskaren. My reason to get up in morning. OK, maybe not quite. BUT, it has had me sniggering every single morning without fail. My fave on Twitter by far. Example:

(The local population was ready to face the Spanish killer snail. And if anyone know how to get Tweets to embed properly, do let me know! I’m completely out of ideas and tearing at my hair.)

I do need something to put me in what at least resembles a good mood. For a while. Keeps me from killing Hans-Ingvar.

This week

…been obsessively listening to Architect’s Untitled. Resorting to B-sides; this fixation of mine is bound to be over aaany day now.

Also caved and donated to Martlets Hospice, because I needed Murray MacLeod’s Gone with the Wind cover:

https://www.musicglue.com/the-xcerts/products/embed/gone-with-the-wind-architects-cover-/

And I’m sure you need it too.

I generally only donate to animal related charity, because I have issues with the human race. I believe someone called us a waste of breath, an apt description I would say. (What do you mean taken out of context??)

…I’ve accepted that I’m a person of little sleep and have been going to bed at all sorts of hours. I call it intuitive sleeping. Intuitive is pretty much the word of the year for me.

…made some of the next-to-final preparations for some going away I’ll be doing in October and November. Only a few more things to book closer to the actual dates. E.g. decide when to go back home, reservation at Café Andaluz, bus from Edinburgh airport to Glasgow. Cannot. Wait.

the platforms I ordered finally got here. Been eyeing these beauts for months and months, no idea what I was waiting for. Love me a good pair of platforms.

roobin's

And apparently they will come in handy because I just got standing tickets for Bring Me in Stockholm. FFS. I thought I was the only old person going who wanted seats. Dammit. But as long as people aren’t crawling around the stage floor I should be able to see -something- (yeh I know, I best start praying now for ppl to not be crawling around the stage floor, because that will happen).

my fave post on social media has been the playlist DanArchitects posted on Wednesday.

Guy knows how to make playlists, we’re talking 11+ hours. Dutifully listened even though I could tell from a glance that the majority of tracks – not my cup of tea. Did, however, lead to me discovering The Black Queen (not included in the playlist, found it while practicing my stalker skills, I’m trying VERY HARD to not be creepy tho, e.g. you can’t go following ppl on Spotify just because you like the music they make; if you like the music they make you follow THE BAND, OK? Yes, HI, trying to talk some sense into myself here).

Aaand, even though it’s not my cup of tea, I keep going back to listen to it. Desperate for some new input? Maybe.

…my go-to look has been bold lip + glasses. Love the NYX Cherry Skies Liquid Suede:

Severely disappointed with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania tho. Does not apply well, dries out, and reapplying is just not advisable. And I wanted it so much. You’ll look like a dirty kid by the end of the day. And you’ll be asked for ID while buying wine despite being well over age.
